My favorite room

I decided to take place in http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ favorite room post here goes there are actually two rooms my living room and dining room. Brinsley refused to move as her crazy mother went around taking pictures of their house. (hehe) Does your family sometimes look at you like you are crazy like here she goes again with that camera!

Catch up time

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Memorial Day here is how ours went:

Noah graduated 5th grade on Thursday afterward we took him out with my sister Robyn and her husband Nick

Saturday we had our annual scavenger hunt and Memorial Day weekend cookout here our a few pictures:

Wordless Wednesday almost!

Like I stated above almost wordless but I have to say I am a little worried tonight about American Idol, nobody on any of my shows have won this year except Adam on Big Brother, Jason lost last night on Dancing with the Stars, Amanda didn't win on Survior....Well my fingers and toes are crossed!

Update: Noah is officially a band member, Southern Living party went well and I have come up with one day's theme for day camp pirates.


Now off to watch American Idol I hope my boy does good!


Is it only Tuesday?!?

A busy week!

This is going to be one busy week this is just some of my to do list:

~Tomorrow we are having a Southern Living At Home party for work and I have to go sign Noah up for band he is going to play the drums yes drums!

~Still working on the Dog Show which is next weekend

~Planning Day Camp for the children I work with at the shelter if anyone has any ideas for day camp please I am all ears.

~Noah graduations 5th grade on Thursday it hurts my heart to say that, I am not looking forward to middle school again.

~We are looking at a new office space which I really hope works out because right now our office is in basement with no windows it is so depressing.

~Planning a Memorial Day cook out and Scavenger Hunt

I am tired just thinking about it...

On to more important things j/k of course but I am confused about DHW so next year it will be five years later? If anyone has any insight please tell me but besides that bit of confusion it was good!

Weekend!

Friday I bought two hanging baskets for 5.00 a piece at Home Depot. Then we just hung out at the house and watched movies Awake and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Saturday painted all my patio furniture (we are getting ready for our Memorial Day cook out next Saturday). Then went to Robyn's to celebrate Amy's birthday. Nick grilled pork tenderloins and pineapple I made Paula Deen's corn casserole, Nikki brought junk salad everything was so good. I should have took pictures of the food but I forgot after dinner we went outside to play "corn holing" don't ask I have know idea where the name came from but it's fun.

Sunday ~ I got into a fight with my dresser and lost. I am the only person who can manage to shut a drawer on their own wrist!

Quick Post

The family is at the movie store so I thought I would do a quick post about my cute little flower arrangement I made today for my front door. It started out quite ugly but I replace the flowers and this is what I came up with what do ya'll think? (It looks better in person I could not get a good picture)

New Thrift Store find

I bought this wine rack today for 3.00 at the thrift store instead of using it as a wine rack I am going to use it in my bathroom to put hand towels on it. Cute huh should I paint it?

Noah's Home

My boy is home I know I sound so silly but I missed him bad! Thanks for all the prayers they worked. Thanks for the advice about the squirrels as I'm typing Johnny is putting mothballs out. They stink something awful. I unexpectly had the afternoon off so I started lurking at other peoples blogs there are such creative women out there you all have inspired me. Thanks!


In the picture there is a weird paint stripe in the background I am not sure where that came from because it is not on the wall! Weird! My daughter made my name for me but now I am not sure how to align it left anyway it is still cute thanks Brinsley!

Random Things

First things first I miss Noah he is gone to Savannah on a three day field trip. Noah has never been gone this long it is just too quiet around here.

Second thing its on I found squirrels digging in my flowers those little critters are making me mad! Any suggestions on how to keep them away?

Third I decided to put shells in my jars for now. The second picture is of the shelf I posted about awhile back it looks better in person I could not get a good picture of it.



I hope David does good this week. Honestly last week was very boring I fast forward through most of it. I don't know maybe it was just me.

Weekend!

Friday went over to Gregg and Shelley's to discuss our upcoming camping trip and just relaxed outside. Saturday morning Johnny took Noah to get a hair cut it looks so good I would post a picture but he doesn't really like when I post pictures of him so I try to limit them. (try but still sometimes I do ha ha don't tell.) Saturday night went fishing I am not what you would call an outdoorsy (is that a word oh well) type of girl but fishing is growing on me:
