1. Do you cook every night?
During the week I do cook every night unless we go to my parents


2. What kind of laundry detergent do you use & why?
Tide with Downy


3. Do you do laundry every day or loads at a time?
I do at least one load of towels a day


4. How often do you eat out per week?
Usually on the weekends


5. Where do you usually eat out?
McDonald's (yuck I know its so darn easy), Pizza Hut or local Mexican and Greek restaurants


6. What is your favorite retail store?

7. What's your favorite thing to drink?
Coke


8. Do you take vitamins? What kind?
Yes multi vitamin and B12


9. What percentage of the household chores to you do?
85%


10. Do your children do chores? {Or will they, did they, etc}
Brinsley washes her own clothes, washes her own dishes, cleans her room and helps out with cleaning after dinner. Noah is learning to wash his clothes, takes trash out and is in charge of getting the can to the road once a week, his room, and helping clean up after dinner.

11. Do you go to church?
At the moment we do not I hope that will change soon

12. Do you have a housework schedule?
yes do I always stick to it NO

13. Do you keep a working budget?
yes but I could do better sometimes.

14. What do you do at night as a family?
we have are certain tv show that we watch as a family. Johnny works 3-11 every night during the week so we try to make Sundays are family time. But the kids and I eat dinner together every night

15. How do you prepare yourself for a new week?
Clean, make sure everything is signed, layed out etc for the next week

16. What do your mornings look like?
Depends but I usually wake them up at 6:45 they don't really need my help but if they want me to I will cook breakfast but the usually eat cereal. Johnny takes them to school. We have coffee together then I either go to work or walk

17. What time do you get up in the mornings?
6:45 - 7:00

18. What time do you go to bed at night?
I try to go to bed at 11 but its usually closer to 12

19. How do you manage all of the paperwork that floods into your household? {bills, school work, magazines, ads, etc}
it all goes on the counter and Johnny goes through it once a week

20. How do you keep your household organized? {calendars, charts, etc}
Calender on the fridge and my many list!

Sweet tea and Bicycles

Hello everyone thanks for all the reading suggestions I am going to check them out we live right behind our public library so I have decided to start taking advantage and check out books again I have not checked out a library book since I was in high school I am excited.

Being from the south we love our sweet tea I make up to two gallons a day depending on if the kids are here all day so I thought I would share my recipe (now everyone makes their tea different this is how I make mine.)

Bring 2 family size Tetley Tea bags to a boil this is where Johnny and I disagree he brings his water to a boil then adds the tea bags. I put the tea bags in the water then bring to a boil. Once it comes to boil turn off.

Let it steep 3 to 5 mins

put one to two cups of sugar in the pitcher add hot tea on top of sugar let stand to melt sugar it making a simple syrup of sorts. Add water to pitcher put in fridge till cool. Serve over ice. Enjoy!

This makes one gallon.

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks I am hinting about wanting this

The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today...

Outside my window...Its sunny not quite as warm out which is really nice

I am thinking...I really need to get back on a good exercise schedule again

I am thankful for...my family we all got together last night and it was nice being with people that have seen you at your worse and best and love you!

From the kitchen...tonight grilled chicken breast with pasta on the side

I am reading...nothing I really need to have something good. Any suggestions

I am praying...our country

I am creating...I am working on some bracelet orders and finishing some more pillows

Around the house...weeding the garden and beds out front and getting ready for a yard sale on Saturday

One of my favorite things...coffee mates French Vanilla creamer

A few plans for the rest of the week...cleaning out closets and hinting about my birthday!

String Quilt Pillow

I just finish making this and I have to say I am very proud of myself I have never tried anything like this before I have to be honest my sewing machine intimates me alittle.The pillow is not perfect by no means but I am still very proud.

Now lets move on to more important news did ya'll see Big Brother last night it was crazy have this people ever watched the show people are going to lie to you dang...ok I am done

I am off to enjoy the sound of rain and cooking chicken fajitas for dinner! Yum O ♥

I almost forgot I finished reading Breaking Dawn last week all I have to say is wow!

I am a bad blogger

What has been going on lets see....

Do ya'll remember last Halloween the crows at the dollar tree that everyone was going crazy for well our dollar tree never had them so this year I spotted them as soon as I walked in I can't wait to do something with them right now this one is just hanging out at the doll house
I have been crocheting these great bracelets ♥ love them
And making lots more salsa I am going to post the recipe but right now I am still in the trial and error phase so once I get it down I will post

I won a giveaway from Jen I can't wait to post about it...

Well thats about it boring I know just not a whole lot going on right now

Wow that was a break

I have been a bad blogger things have been super busy with the kids getting back in school this is going to be one tough year for Brinsley her schedule is crazy this year she has geometry, Latin, chemistry, economics, AP English and health care crazy huh!

So what have I been up to lets see

I bought this beauty at a thrift store for .50 cent no it did not look like this but after a good scrubbing and some pink spray paint I have a new sewing kitMy Granny gave me these little cutiesGot all this out of the garden this week so I have been making salsa like a mad womenI am very happy with the results of So you think you can dance but Big Brother is killing me slowly well I am off to catch up with all of ya'll and finish cleaning fun I know!
