Easter and Stuff

When my kids were young I would go all out every holiday with decorations. Now that they are older I have minimized it down a lot
but I still love all the cute things that go with the holidays
(focus on the mirror not the messy desk in the mirror lol)
with Easter comes pansies, I just love pansies they are such happy little flowers
I did not buy one thing except for the pansies
(they were .33 you can't pass that up)
with no money spent, I think everything turned out rather
Cute!

Happy Sunday Folks

Pom Pom Heart

I came up with this really cute and easy Valentine craft
(This year's Valentine Day has been all about the pom poms ha)
Supplies:
A cardboard heart
scissors
pom pom maker
yarn
hot glue gun/hot glue

First of all I printed out a heart,
then traced it on to a piece of cardboard
Next to making pom poms
(It took one episode of Supernatural to make enough)
Trim off the long strings and hot glue into place.
I added a magnet to the back on mine.
And now you have yourself a super cute decoration for Valentines!

Super Bowl Food

I don't really care to much about the Super Bowl but I do care about the food and the half-time show!

I thought I would share our Super Bowl recipes
(none of these are Paleo or clean eating but sometime you have to just go for it)
*Chicken wings
(we had three different kinds)
Hot
BBQ
Lemon Pepper

*Stuffed mushrooms and peppers

*Bean Dip

Wings
We soaked the wings in a brine  for about an hour.
Then grilled all of them after they were done we made each sauce pretty much the same way.
Get your favorite BBQ and hot sauce with a two tablespoons of butter heat until well blended.
The Lemon Pepper we add two tablespoons and add the lemon pepper to taste baste the wings at the end of cook time with your sauce.

Stuffed Peppers and Mushrooms

1 lb. of mushrooms
1 lb. of jalapeno peppers
16 oz of cream cheese, soften
bacon bits

blended the cream cheese and bacon bits

remove caps from mushrooms and remove all seeds from peppers (you may want to wear plastic gloves for this part)
add about a teaspoon of cream cheese/bacon bit mix
 per pepper and mushroom

Bake at 350 for 45 mins.

Bean Dip

1 can of refried beans (10.5 oz)
sour cream (8 oz)
 1 cup of cheddar cheese

layer the beans on the bottom, then sour cream and top with cheddar cheese

Bake 350 for 45 mins
enjoy with your favorite tortilla chips

Happy Snacking!

Room Design with Chairish

I was asked by Chairish to design a room around one of their lovely chairs!
Be sure to check out their site, they have some really cool
vintage furniture, and if you know me I am all about the vintage.
I picked out this really cool yellow

This is the room I designed I wanted to go for bold colors with a little bit of funk! I love this room I would do this in my house in a split second!

Be sure to stop by Chairish and check all their cool stuff!
Have a great Friday

*I wish I could have had the picture bigger but my template would not allow for it, I need to work on that!

Valentine Banner

I decided that my mirror needed a Valentine banner
I took some book pages and wrote love with a pink sharpie
hung it on a pink ribbon with a few pompoms
(you can't have too many pompoms in the house right)
it turned out really cute and took less the 30 minutes to make

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
We have sunshine here finally after a week of rain, so I am headed out to soak it up!

Winter Blues

i don't know about anyone else but after all the Christmas decorations come down, and winter is all around I can get the winter blues.
I decided to add a little Valentine love around the house. In this house we don't have a mantle so i use this little table in our living room as my holiday table. I just add some pompom flowers, a cute saying on a book page, and a candle.
in the den i did the same thing in this cute box that i had been using on the porch. (pompom flowers just make me happy)

some left over candy canes in the kitchen in a mason jar with a cute paper heart
also started working on some cute treats for my friends
