My mountain trip!

On Friday Johnny found out that he did not have to work on Saturday. Yea! So we decided that we are going to the mountains just the two of us which never happens. Noah was going to Carawinds with the band and Brinsley is never here on the weekends she was going to see a movie. So we get in the car innocently thinking wow I can't wait to go to Helen, GA its a quaint Germany town in Northeast GA with funnel cakes, lunch by the river, and cute little stores everywhere.
Riding down the road enjoying the sightsWe stopped at Tallulah Gorge the sun was in my face as you can seeHere is the Gorge I was standing on a deck look outSo we go on our merry little way if you have been to Helen you know when you see this you are almost there. Its an Indian mound well that is as close to Helen as we got because what month is this yes October and in Helen they have October fest there were cars backed up probably about five miles. So we did a u-turn grabbed a bite to eat, visited a outlet mall and got home in time to catch the last half of the GA game. All was not lost because look at the great things I found at the outlet store. See the price 3.39

And this cute thing was 75% off he only cost 4.00 great deals huh!Have a great night I am off to watch Heroes!

It looks like you went to the Old Clarkesville Mill...am I right? Cause I saw the same plate this weekend. I was up there also..my parents live right down from the mound on 17 at Skyview...how weird we were there at the same time...Would have loved to have met...maybe another time...

So anyway did you go to the Real Deal store...I got a few things from there also...

Your back! Helen...I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there! Since we lived in Germany it's fun to go see the Bavarian looking buildings there. I love that drive from Gainsville, GA on up there up. Have you ever stopped in Cleveland...Birthplace of the Cabbage Patch. We stopped in on our last time there. I thought it was fun to see the doll being born.

Like your good deals you got.

We've camped at Tallulah Gorge before! I've always wanted to go to Helen, too. In the past, we've gone to the Ellijay Apple Festival, and that was always fun. :) Glad you had a fun trip!

Carrie,

I've never been there but it sounds quaint. How nice that you got a few hours away with Johnny. Even if you had to turn around and come back. Rarely do I get a few hours alone with my hubby. It sounds so nice.

How fun! I've been up there before...years ago. My husband and I used to take impromptu trips all the time. It's been years though. Great finds at the outlet mall. Love the jack-o-lantern!

Looks like you has some fun anyway. I thought you were going to say there was a motorcycle rally or something. Thats what happened to my mom and I one year when we went to Daytona Beach ,Fl. Don't go there on July 1st thru the 4th. OMG. it was awful if your not into that sort of thing. We weren't!!!!

So I have to say that in general I could do without sweets, but when funnel cake gets mentioned my mouth totally waters. How fast could I get to GA from So Cal????? Not fast enough, I'd probably get dehydrated by the time I made it there from drooling so much. Take care and I love the pictures...just beautiful
