Cross stitching from the past

Carrie at Unmatched Socks posted about a cute stitchery she did so I though I am going to try to make one I cross stitched when I was young so what the hey. I looked at Wal-Mart for an embroidery hoop no such luck. Well I though let me call my mom and just maybe she still has some of her old cross stitch stuff. So today I meet her for lunch here is what she brought me I am so excited!

I cross stitch book From 1987And these remember these (yes I am showing my age who cares this is fun)!I remember making these and turning them into bookmarks I still have one in my bibleHere is an unfinished piece I think I might just have to finish it!So now Dixie and myself are going to sit by the fire and do a little stitching I love days like this!

Stay warm!

Hip hip hooray for crosstitching. I also did a lot of it in my day. It's so theraputic. That Santa is out of control gorgeous!
Also, I scrolled down to see the adorable Valentine touches you've added to your home...SO cute...especially your cute kitchen!

I've have never learned how to cross stitch...not sure if I'm patient enough for it! Be sure to show off some of your handiwork when you get done!

Hi Carrie -
You should finish that cross stitch - it is really cute! That is a great project to work on while the weather is cold!

Have a great day!

My grandmother use to cross stitch. Come to think of it, I think she was the only who cross stitched in my family. I love the pictures you shared.
