Ok there are the meals now ya'll see why I have to do the 30 day shred lol. I plan for ten meals at a time because there are always those days where you want to get out of the kitchen and go out. And we eat at my parents at least once a week. So please share how ya'll do it?
Oh yea I almost forgot I got Brinsley good yesterday for April's Fool. The first thing she does everyday after school is get on the computer so I tape this on the mouse so the mouse would not work.
She restarted the computer she was down in the floor seeing if it got unplugged finally she turned over the mouse we had a good laugh. Did you get anyone or was got?
Can't wait to hear your ideas and thoughts if any of your are interested in any of the recipes above I will be glad to share.
Hugs
Carrie

Great job on the meal planning, Carrie! I'm very impressed! I, usually, grocery shop once a month, but then I pick up a few items as I need them. Unlike you, I'm the kind who flies by the seat of her britches. I look in the fridge and the pantry at about 3 PM and make my decision as to what we'll be having for dinner. :)
Hi Carrie! You are very good with your meal planning! I am not very good at that. I go about every two weeks, but am always having to run down the hill and pick up things I forgot.
I made cupakes for dinner which were meatloaf in cupcake liners with pink mashed potatoes piped on top. That was about all of the excitement around here. I love you prank though. I am going to do that one next year!
How is your Shred coming along? Is your daughter still doing it with you? I am having a hard time motivating mine.
XOXO

I hate meal planning, but I do it anyhow. I do it for about eight days at a time and grocery shop and go to Costco once a week. We like lots of fresh fruit (each child eats a whole banana every morning, for example!) so I can't space it out any more than a week.

I don't meal plan exactly, but when I shop, I write down all the meals that I can make. Usually, I like to have 10-15 meals that I could make when I come home from the store. I write them on a paper on the fridge and cross them out as we make them. Then, I never have to wonder what we have for make but I don't have to tie myself down to a certain meal on a certain day. It works for us.
I just happened upon your blog and I am totally loving it!
I wish I could have thought up the fab April Fools joke you came up with. It would have worked great on my Computer Tech husband :)
I plan meals one week at a time and usually go to the grocery store every Saturday. Planning makes life so much easier... I hate when I don't have something planned and I come home from work not having a clue what to make for dinner.
Over the summer things change a little for us because we grill almost every night so I don't plan as much but I do what I can.
That is smart about the meal planning. My schedule is so crazy with classes meeting different times on different days that I rarely pre-plan any meals. When I get married in August, I'll get you to send me some of those yummy sounding recipes!
HAHA at the April Fool's joke. That's the first one I heard this year!
Hi Carrie! I so struggle with planning meals. So thank you for this helpful post. I will have to take note. :)
Wow... I love your meal plan and would love for you to post recipes with them... hint, hint.
I usually get an idea of what I'd like to make for about 7-10 days. Hubby and I work full-time and my daughter is in school all day, so dinner is prepared by me most nights. When I have late work nights, I either put something in my crockpot early morning or we have leftovers or takeout. I try to have vary my meats too as my family enjoys variety so it keeps things interesting for me. There are times that I make extra food one night so we(I) can enjoy leftovers the next evening.
I love your pranks! I will try to remember the mouse prank for my co-workers next year. You are too funny and a great mom!
Take care and have a great weekend!

Oh funny! That would've been a good one for my son. :)
I meal plan a week at a time, but I'd like to do it for 2 weeks. I might work on that over spring break!
I meal plan for 2 weeks. I also grocery shop every 2 weeks. I couldn't manage without meal planning.
That was too funny about the mouse. Sounds like you got her good.
We go every week and plan our meals weekly. It makes things so much easier. I love the April Fool's on Brinsley!
I am a HORRIBLE meal planner, but I am trying to get better. We have always been really bad about going out to eat, but with me just working very part time now and the economy the way it is...I just don't want to throw away money like that! Your meals sound delicious.
Great April Fools joke....hehehe
Great job on meal planning. I've tried it before and it doesn't work for me b/c we're always changing our minds or plans. I'm sure that will change when we have a new family member.
I struggle with meal planning. I'm not consistant. I need to do it though! I always feel better when I do!
Great April Fool's joke!
What time should I be over for dinner? Your meals sound very yummy. I just started planning meals and so far it's working out well. I made a master list of a lot of meals and then I can just choose meals for two weeks at a time, hopefully using things I have on hand.
I am so doing that April Fools joke next year!!!
Your meal plan looks great! You should check out springpad's
weekly meal planner - it's a great way to organize your menus and recipes. Check it out - I think you'd really like it!
I haven't planned meals for a very long time and it is about time to start again. It really does make a difference. I will have to get busy and try again.
LOL, you got Brinsley good. :)
my meal planning goes in spurts. i am such a craving person that meal planning doesn't work. i just cook what sounds tasty that day. you know? so if I plan and i don't feel like red meat on monday, i get all flustered and upset. lol. i'm such a nut.
Thanks for sharing! You know this has been my theme lately :o) It is helping our house to plan. I am going to try to work up to planning 2 weeks at a time. We'll see how that goes!
Forgot to say...I loved the April Fools joke. Too funny!
