Two hot and sweaty boys in the Georgia heat
A tarp
a water hose and soap. There you have a redneck slip and slide. It didn't work really well but they got wet and cooled off, so mission accomplished.
I watched from my chair
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Carrie

Looks like fun!!!
Isn't the weather just gorgeous?!?
Hilarious!!! And genius!
Would have never thought of that!
Mission accomplished fun. I'm ready to lay out and watch my boys play in the water and read Twilight.
The way I see it, that is pry how the slip n slide started - that said don't you wish you were the billionaire that thought of it first?
checking in from another blog....cute cute family. Really enjoyed reading your posts. Will be back soon!
We did something like that last year at my mom's house!
Oh, and did you get a nice tan? It's too cold to be slippin' and slidin' here yet!
Carrie,
That is so funny! Hey, whatever works. It was in 90s here in NC this weekend. I wished I had been able to come up with a way to cool off.
Now, that's my kind of slippin-slide. I'm just a little jealous that your warm enough to be slippin-sliding. Give us a couple months. We're getting there.
Have a great day.
Sandra
I would have been right there in the middle of them...such fun! Looks like "someone" is working on her tan! Happy Monday!
Look at that tan already, I'm jealous!
Wow at your lists, I'm so impressed. I wish our household could function like that. I may need some future tips :)
Smart Kids!!! I'd do it!! LOL
Brrr! It is way too cold out here to get near a garden hose while wearing swim trunks! LOL!

As soon as I read the title of your post I knew a tarp and hose were coming! ;) Looks like fun.
Looks like a great idea. We have had some fabulous, warm weather here too!!
Love the title!
You know what they say about necessity being the mother of invention. Well, they needed to get cooled off!
I think you've earned the right to watch from your chair. :)
I forgot to say my cousins and I had our own "redneck slip n slide" one summer. It worked pretty good, but we were let with many bruises from the "friendly" (not)competition.
It is too chilly here to even think about trying to slip N slide.
Our church did a huge slip N slide with a tarp for our teens last summer and they added baby oil to make it slicker than..... ice.
I envy you getting to soak up some sunshine!
I remember making one of those tarp-want to be slip and slides when I was a kid! :) You've got the right idea there, relaxing in the sun! :)
Hey...looks like FUN to me!
Hey...that looks like my kids old slip and slide! You know, we bought one one year and it didn't last the summer...put out our old plastic camping tarp and still to this day have it! You are a smart mom!
