Oh, Carrie...I SO understand! You are so proud of all they've accomplished, yet you don't want things to change from how they are right now at this moment in time. There is nothing like the pain of letting go...NOTHING! However, good things are just over the horizon, I promise! You will make it through! If I did...anyone can! Saying a prayer for you! Get that book ("The Goodbye Quilt")...I promise you won't regret it!

Happy 18th Brinsley! Carrie, that girl is so mature and well rounded (from what I've seen), you have nothing to worry about! She's still your baby girl and will always need her mama!

I hope you get lots of good advice bz I need some too! My baby turned 18 in January and graduates next month too. I'll have her for the summer and then she's off to an apartment in the fall to live with friends and start a new chapter. After having four kids underfoot for so many years I'm just not ready. Empty nesting is definitely not all it's cracked up to be for me. Spring break just about did me under while she was gone for a whole week. Maybe we can cheer each other on through this time. :)

Happy birthday to Brinsley! Lots of love is a great start and it is very evident, that love is found in your house! Stick to you mother's intuition!

Hope she had a great birthday! As far as letting go...It was one of the hardest years of my life. I cried like a baby but after 12 yrs later I have another to let go and it is just as hard...Hugs to you Carrie! The bright side is that she brought three grands into my life so all in all it is hard but she has gone down the right road and so will Brinsley.
