New Hair Do

My sister Christy cut and colored my hair tonight I really like it alot its more blonde than it looks in the picture I needed some lighten up! What you think? Oh see the skirt in the background we will get to it in a minute...

Ok now to the skirt I am going to a concert in Savannah GA in March. I found this cute vintage skirt today for 3.00 I think it will be great to wear how cute is it!

The smoothie recipe

Its called a Wake Up Smoothie

1 1/4 c. orange juice

1 banana

1 1/4 cup of mixed frozen berries

1/2 cup of nonfat plain yogurt

1/2 tbsp sugar

Blend together ~I don't really like banana so next time I think a half would be good and I did not add the sugar it was plenty sweet me. Its very good!

This makes 2 servings (1 1/2 cup) 157 calories

Catch Up Time

Do any of you gardening well we started last year with a salsa garden and a few others like squash and okra we enjoyed it so much we are expanding we have started in the house beans, okra, sunflowers, lettuce, and a herb garden that will be a bed all to itself. I am so excited who knew I would love growing things so much.

This weekend we celebrated this little cutie's first birthday :)

I made this smoothie tonight very very good I will share the recipe if ya'll want!

Tasty Tuesday

Cat has this wonderful recipe to share for this weeks Tasty Tuesday

Chicken Stuffed Shells with Two Sauces

-18 uncooked jumbo pasta shells
-3/4 lightly packed chopped fresh basil leaves
-3 cups diced cooked chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
-1 cup small curd cottage cheese
-1 egg
-2 cups tomato pasta sauce
-1 container (about 10 oz) Alfredo sauce
-1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 13x9 inch (3 quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. Cook and drain pasta shells as directed on package.

2. Pour pasta sauce in bottom of the dish and coat evenly.In medium bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the chopped basil leaves, the chopped chicken, cottage cheese, and egg. Spoon about 1 heaping tablespoon mixture into each cooked pasta shell. Place each filled pasta shell in baking dish on top of sauce.

3. Drizzle Alfredo sauce over shells. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover tightly with foil

4. Bake 35-45 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and shells are hot. Sprinkle with remaining basil.

**This is a family favorite and get for company cause it makes so many shells! Great served with some garlic toast and a salad on the side! Enjoy!**

I scored big time!!!

I have been looking for a record player for a while, I was about a week away from ordering one from Urban Outfitters but I scored this baby today and all the records for 50.00 I swear my parents had this exact same stereo. We are super excited to start collecting records now!

Thrifty Thursday

On Saturday Johnny and I went to several antique/thrift stores in search of him a guitar and a record player. I found this Avon owl

and these two great piece of Pyrex the lady at the store let me have both piece for $15.00 which I thought was a great deal b/c of the color now if I could just get some of the pink ones I would be a happy camper!

My big announcement is coming tomorrow I will give you a hint it involves some wonderful prizes!!!

Prom Dress Shopping

Brinsley and I spent the day looking for prom dresses and this is the one its really cute! I thought we would be looking for months but it was the second one she tried on YAY!

Then we had lunch and a little shopping it was a nice day!

Tasty Tuesday!

My pal Jamie made these mushrooms for her super cute family for Valentines Day. Every since I have just been craving them so much I knew they had to be the recipe for this weeks tasty tuesday! And an she is the creative mind behind Happy Mail!

4 Ginormous portabello caps, cleaned and destemmed (I bought 2 packs of 2 each)
1 package of cream cheese (softened)
2-3 tablespoons of sour cream
Crab meat (Either a small can or the fake kind by the seafood in the store)
I used the fake kind and it was probably about 3/4 cup or so? (not sure but I added it last and mixed it in)
Shredded cheese (I used colby/monterey jack mix) and it was probably about 1/2 cup or so. (Again, not sure, lol)

Dash of salt and pepper
Mix all the above ingredients and scoop inside the mushroom caps.
Broil until cheese is melted!

That's it!

They were super yummy!

The Best Weekend

What a busy fun weekend starting on Friday afternoon we got this to most people this is not too exciting but we get maybe one snow a year so we all get super excited when it happens. This is outside my back door.

And I got all my Valentines from all you crafty wonderful ladies thanks so much they looked so good on the mantle! ♥

Johnny really spoil me this year I got a net book which I have been hinting around for since Christmas I love it. Bonus now I don't drive the kids crazy borrowing their laptops all the time!

He surprised me with these beautiful tulips (not a great picture the are so much prettier in real life)!

We went to some antique stores and I scored big time but I am saving that for thrifty thursday but we also went to a few other place where I got this wonderful black boots

and these super comfortable shoe

Johnny was equally as spoiled I think I did alittle treasure hunt around the house it was fun but I forgot to take pictures but he got Family guy pj bottoms, a mix cd (our favorite songs for every year we have been together, oreos and a new guitar.

Sunday was my nieces birthday so she had a skating party it was too fun we all had a blast!

Valentine Plans

Is everyone getting ready for Valentines Day? Honestly I have been a little stress b/c I think guys are really hard to buy for, Brinsley told her boyfriend Valentines is for girls. I concur :D

So I am very excited because today I was struck with a great idea I can't wait to share but it will have to wait til Sunday until then I thought I would leave ya'll with a couple pics of my furbabies...

Collections

I am a collector by nature I have always collected things when I was a child it was porcelain dolls, teddy bears, all the shirt tales etc.

I have a few collection right now owls, Pyrex, vintage Thermos etc. but I really want to start collecting souvenir spoons did your grandmother collected these?

Johnny's grandmother collects thimbles which would be cool too but I don't want to be a copy cat so here is my new obsession ( I have them often) :D

I want my grand kids to look at my collection like I always do Mama Ellen's thimbles and wonder about them...who gave them to her...

I want one from every state!!!

Weekend Recap

Hello glories did ya'll have a great weekend? Our weekend was full of good food loaded potato soup, grilled chicken pasta, and chicken and steak fajitas. We watched movies Zombieland was really good I was pleasantly surprised. Saturday I updated the shop so check it out!

We hung out with friends, played games and just goofed off. I have a busy week ahead with work, birthday parties coming up, Valentines, I am guest blogging tomorrow, and working on some costume orders, Easter and spring items for my little shop :D

and something fun is on its way so be sure to keep checkin its going to BIG...
